Kieran Bates

Kieran began playing the piano at 8 years old and then joined JamSchool as a drummer at age 11.  Soon after, Kieran began playing the guitar and bass.  Thanks to the John F. Ross choirs and the conductor, Dale Hobbs, he has also developed a love of singing.  Kieran composes, records and performs his own songs and enjoys exploring the use of digital effects such as looper pedals for live performances.  Since 2012, he has performed in many bands at JamSchool as a drummer, guitarist, bassist, vocalist and keyboardist. Kieran has been an active member of choirs, bands and ensembles at John F. Ross C.V.I. and has been a member of the JamSchool House Band since 2016.  Although music is Kieran’s greatest passion, he is planning to pursue post-secondary studies in Science at the University of Guelph.  Kieran is great with beginners and loves instilling a passion for music to younger students. JamSchool is very excited to have him as part of our team for the coming year.
