Marc has a diploma from Humber College in Jazz and has spent almost thirty years playing clubs, casinos, and festivals. He’s toured Canada and the U.S., performing, recording, road managing, and doing live sound. Marc has worked with The DePue Brothers in the U.S., Alex DePue, tribute acts managed by Canadian talent marketers The Booking House, Country artists Jason Blaine and Greg HannaCanadian Idol runner-up Tara Oram, Canadian opera singers Ben Heppner and Elton Lammie, and over twenty artists actively performing in Southern Ontario.
Marc continues to be an active and in-demand member of the live music scene. Marc is also involved in recording and producing songwriter demos, artist albums, and his own original compositions and scores.

When teaching private lessons or in a band class, Marc puts emphasis on the music that his students like. He also encourages his students to sing while playing and to try different instruments. An accomplished multi-instrumentalist himself, Marc will help you find the right fit for you. He can teach you to play, read music, understand theory and the architecture of songs, and even create, produce, and record your own music.  In band settings with Marc, you learn how to interact with other musicians and work as a professional gigging musician.

Marc appreciates that your musical experience is unique and he will concentrate on your particular goals and your own way of finding inspiration and accepting challenges. Marc can help you take that next step on the path to musical fulfilment.

Here is what Marc has to say about teaching at JamSchool:

“JamSchool has a fantastic variety of teachers and always does a great job of nurturing that diversity and matching students to the right instructor. I always feel that my skills and style are being effectively used.”
