Tristan has been playing guitar for 12 years, and has ventured into multiple styles of music. He is finishing his Music degree at the University of Guelph, where he has completed the Applied Jazz Guitar program. While he has devoted a lot of time to Jazz and formal music theory, he remains at heart a true rock and roll guitar player, and primarily performs in the genres of Rock and Popular music. Tristan started performing in High School, and has played in many different settings, including school performances, weddings and other formal events, and in the local music scene. Tristan has a very open style of teaching and enjoys teaching all age groups. He focuses on the goals of the student and encourages them to pursue their musical passions. He believes that the best learning takes place when a student is truly enjoying playing their instrument and becomes fully immersed in the music they want to play.
