Graham Steinman

As a student in the music program at the University of Guelph, Graham has played in bands ranging from punk to jazz-folk and neo soul. Graham composes and arranges for a six piece ensemble called Cedar Symphony, and performs around Guelph alongside them. He appreciates both the consonant and the experimental sides of music making.

As an arranger and a player, Graham takes joy in finding new sounds in a social setting and learning how best to combine them with others, allowing each instrument shine to their greatest potential.

Graham believes the most effective way to learn is to have fun and be inspired by the instrument. Through that lens, he encourages building knowledge of how music works, and learning tools that allow the student to find their own musical voice in the sounds they play.
