His initial instructors were Dave Derma and Bruce Anderson from the Guelph Pipe Band and in 2011 he began working with Tyler Bridge who he still sees for piping tuition on a regular basis. Seb learned quickly through the cadet system and was able to join the Guelph Pipe Band in 2013 where he has seen considerable competitive success including winning the Ontario Champion Supreme title with the band in 2014, 2019, and 2022 as well as the North American Championship title in grade 3 at the Maxville Highland games in 2019. Sebastien also competes regularly in the solo piping circuit in Ontario. He has been a finalist in the Toronto Piping Society’s Knockout competition and recently won the Champion Supreme title for Junior Amateur Piobaireach in Ontario over the summer of 2022. Seb helps teach and mentor many of the younger players who are coming up through the grades within the Guelph Pipe Band and he brings 10 years of competition and performance experience to the table as he joins the JamSchool family.
